10:00 - 16 November 2006

If you go down to the woods you're sure of a big surprise!

Sunday, December 3, will see the official launch to the general public of Mayflower Wood, South Killingholme. The 120-acre woodland offers free public access to 67,000 newly-planted trees.

The land has been developed by local company ConocoPhillips, in conjunction with members of the community.

To add a touch of Christmas cheer to the opening there will be a Santa Saunter - a series of Santa Clause races through the woods - during the day.

All profits made on the day will be donated to When You Wish Upon A Star to raise funds for its annual Lapland trip.

Also at the South Killingholme end of the grounds there will be a treasure hunt, children's entertainment and refreshments.

Wannabe Santas who wish to participate should contact Nina on (01469) 555044.

A small charge will be made, which includes the cost of your Santa suit.
